Emily McWalter joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan in January 2016. She received her B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University in 2002 and her M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 2004 and 2010, respectively. Prior to her appointment, she spent five years at Stanford University as a Post-doctoral Fellow and Research Associate in the Department of Radiology. Dr. McWalter's research program focuses on using novel, quantitative MRI techniques to understand knee joint soft tissue function and degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis.
