Biography

Emily Miretti is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy and a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Ambulatory Care at Michigan Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Washington and her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy, graduating with the highest honors and distinction. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at the University of Michigan, where she served as Chief Resident during both years. Dr. Miretti is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy and is an Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Certified Diabetes Care Education Specialist. Her practice focuses on internal medicine and multidisciplinary chronic kidney disease clinics at Michigan Medicine. Additionally, she serves as the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program Director and precepts pharmacy learners at various levels, including P2 IPPE students and PGY2 residents. Dr. Miretti is actively involved in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Her primary areas of research interest include diabetes, cardiovascular risk reduction, chronic kidney disease, interprofessional education, and scholarship in teaching and learning.
