Dr. Emily Salmon

Biography

Emily Salmon is an Assistant Professor at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University. Her academic and professional experiences encompass multiple roles that support Indigenous communities' journeys toward self-determination. Her focus areas include economic development, administrative governance, and human resources management. Salmon holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in International Management from the University of Victoria, a Master of Business Administration from Queen's University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Camosun College. She has published several articles addressing key issues surrounding Indigenous management and business curricula, contributing significantly to the discourse on integrating Indigenous voices into higher education. Emily's research interests lie at the intersection of business and society, particularly how Indigenous perspectives can reshape business practices and educational frameworks.
