Biography

Emin Civi joined the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of New Brunswick in 2005 and is a member of the Marketing Area. With a focus on teaching Marketing Management, International Marketing, Retailing, and International Business in the BBA program and International Marketing in the MBA program, Dr. Civi has contributed significantly to the academic landscape. His previous teaching stint was at Celal Bayar University in Turkey, complemented by experiences as a Visiting Scholar at institutions such as Michigan State University and the United Arab Emirates University. Dr. Civi's research interests center on the competitiveness of multinational corporations (MNCs), internationalization processes, and the impacts of accounting regulations. His published work includes articles in esteemed journals and he has been recognized with multiple teaching awards for his contributions to education. This includes the Allan P. Stuart Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Hormel Teaching Excellence Award. Furthermore, in 2019, he was honored as a 3M Teaching Fellow, showcasing his commitment to teaching excellence and educational leadership. Dr. Civi also actively engages in community service as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Saint John Multicultural and Newcomers Resource Center.
