Biography

Emma Fries is an artist who works to connect students to the arts as a means of access to learning. Her focus is on engaging young people deeply with subject matters related to art, creative writing, and self-expression. As the head instructor, Emma designs, writes, and implements curricula for the Arts Greenhouse youth programming in the greater Pittsburgh area. She has a special love for spaces where art intersects with the environment. Her curriculum design and implementation efforts are centered on helping students understand their capacity to positively impact the world through knowledge and creativity.
