Biography

Emma Hart teaches and researches the history of early North America and the Atlantic World from 1500 to 1800. She is a Professor in the Department of History at the University of Pennsylvania and serves as the Richard S. Dunn Director of the McNeil Center for Early American Studies. Additionally, she is a founding board member of the Global Urban History Project, an online collective dedicated to the research on the history of city space and globalization.
