Biography

Emma Säfström's research focuses on continuity of care, patient-reported outcomes, and patient participation. She is currently working on a postdoctoral project that develops a support program for individuals with heart failure, titled 'Living Heart Failure.' This program is developed in collaboration with healthcare staff using a co-design method. Implementation strategies and the effects of the digital care plan are being evaluated through a randomized hybrid-design study. Emma successfully defended her doctoral thesis on March 31, 2023.
