Emma Silverblatt is an architectural designer whose work explores design activism, public engagement, and participatory production. At Cornell University, she teaches community-engaged courses and coedits the Cornell Journal of Architecture. Her multidisciplinary firm expands the boundaries of spatial practice through interactive media, events, writing, and installations. Silverblatt’s research focuses on alternative forms of housing, grounded in a belief that design can advance housing as a human right. She holds a B.S. in Architecture from Ohio State University and a M.Arch with commendation from Harvard Graduate School of Design.
