Emma Wang is an assistant professor in the Accounting area at the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. Her research interests focus on corporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, ESG standard setting, and sustainable financing. She aims to contribute to the understanding of ESG developments, stipulate discussions, and facilitate policy making. Wang received her PhD in Accounting from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto in 2023. Prior to joining the PhD program, she worked as an associate at a leading economic consulting company, Charles River Associates, where she provided litigation strategy consulting expertise to some of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies. Wang earned a B.Com degree in Finance and Economics, and an MA degree in Economics, both from the University of Toronto. She is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, yoga, Pilates, running, camping, and spending time with her family dog, Dash.
