Biography

Emmanuel Bouendeu is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering Design & Teaching Innovation at the University of Ottawa. He holds a Ph.D. in Micro-Energy Harvesting Engineering from the University of Freiburg in Germany and has extensive experience in renewable energy projects. Before his tenure at the University of Ottawa, he was a project manager for the Ottawa Renewable Energy Co-op and co-founded Environs Energy International and Bouendeu CleanTech Inc. His previous roles include test engineer at Moeller Holding GmbH and part-time professor at Cité Collegiale in Ottawa. Bouendeu is recognized for his expertise in micro-energy technologies and solid-state lighting, with a focus on photovoltaic engineering, micro-energy harvesting, and energy management. He is a senior member of the Association of German Engineers and the Professional Engineers Ontario.
