Dr. Emmanuelle Schindler

Biography

Emmanuelle Schindler, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Yale University. She focuses her research on headache disorders, particularly cluster headaches, which are characterized by excruciating pain and often misdiagnosed as other types of headaches. Her journey in neurology began at Drexel University College of Medicine, where she earned her MD and PhD in Neuroscience. During her advanced research fellowship with the VA Connecticut Healthcare System, she developed and executed controlled trials investigating the mechanisms of various treatments for headache disorders, including the effects of psilocybin. Schindler's clinical work emphasizes innovative management strategies for patients suffering from debilitating headaches. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology and the American Headache Society.
