Enoka Wijekoon is an Assistant Professor at the University of Guelph in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology. Following his doctoral work, he was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship from the CIHR/Regional Partnership Program to study mechanisms of hypertension in the Division of Biomedical Sciences at Memorial University. Wijekoon joined the University of Guelph in 2009, where he has been involved in teaching the undergraduate biochemistry program and has acted as a faculty advisor for the biochemistry co-op program for ten years. His research interests include exploring student engagement in large classes and improving retention of information through low-stakes assessments.
