Dr. Enrique Galindo Nava

Biography

Enrique Galindo-Nava is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University College London, specializing in Materials Science Engineering. Before joining UCL, he was awarded the RAEng Research Fellowship at the University of Cambridge in 2017, where he established a large research group focused on Material Simulation and Advanced Manufacturing. Enrique served as a Research Associate at Cambridge from 2014 to 2016. He obtained his PhD in Materials Science from Delft University of Technology in 2013, following degrees in Mathematics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and Mechanical Engineering from Panamerican University in Mexico. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers addressing various aspects of the process-microstructure-property paradigm in advanced materials and has received the 2019 Metals Young Investigator Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to research in this field. An invited keynote speaker at top international conferences on Materials Deformation, Enrique has presented at more than 15 international conferences. He supervises post-docs, PhDs, and Masters students and has successfully attracted funding as a principal investigator for numerous collaborations with industry.
