Dr. Enrique Mendoza

Biography

Enrique G. Mendoza is the William P. Carey Professor of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. He previously served as the Neil Moskowitz Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland and has taught at Duke University. Mendoza has extensive experience as an economist at the International Monetary Fund and as a consultant and resident scholar at various international universities, banks, and organizations. His research focuses on international macroeconomics and provides critical insights for scholars, researchers, and policymakers regarding business cycles in emerging market economies and the implications of sovereign debt defaults in developing countries. He also addresses the implications of America's trade deficit.
