Erdem Bıyık is an assistant professor in the Thomas Lord Department of Computer Science at the University of Southern California and holds a courtesy position in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He leads the Learning Interactive Robot Autonomy Lab (Lira Lab). Prior to his appointment at USC, he was a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley's Center for Human-Compatible Artificial Intelligence. His research is focused on artificial intelligence and robotics, utilizing machine learning, optimization, and cognitive science to advance human-robot collaboration and multi-agent systems.
