Biography

Eric M Bader, MD, is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at Yale New Haven Hospital. He graduated from NYU School of Medicine with Honors and completed his internship and residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he received the Leo M. Davidoff Society 'Outstanding Achievement in Teaching of Medical Students' award and served as Chief Resident. He underwent fellowship training in cardiovascular diseases at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s – Roosevelt in New York City, followed by a subspecialization in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Bader's practice focuses on the implantation and management of cardiac devices such as pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), and he is involved in the prevention of sudden cardiac death and the use of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) to treat heart failure. He is a member of Yale’s lead management team, performing extractions of infected or malfunctioning pacemakers and defibrillators, and carries out complex ablations for a variety of arrhythmias. His research interests include leadless pacing and the impact of COVID-19 on heart rhythms. Dr. Bader has been an attending physician in the Yale Electrophysiology and Cardiac Arrhythmia Program for five years, primarily serving the New Haven, CT area.
