Biography

Eric Beauregard is a professor in the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University, where he also serves as the Associate Director of Research. He obtained his PhD from the University of Montreal in 2005. Prior to joining SFU in 2007, Beauregard worked for Correctional Service Canada, where he was responsible for the assessment of individuals convicted of sexual crimes. His research primarily focuses on areas such as sexual violence, homicide, the crime-commission process, and decision-making in criminal investigations. Over his career, he has published more than 200 publications, including seven books, and has provided training to law enforcement agencies globally.
