Biography

Eric Bliman teaches writing courses including rhetoric, composition, and technical communication. He holds a Ph.D. in English with a focus on comparative literature from the University of Cincinnati, an M.F.A. in creative writing (poetry) from the University of Florida, and a B.S. in psychology from the University of Michigan. His poems and book reviews have appeared in publications such as Literary Supplement, Subtropics, Southern Review, Quarterly West, and the Birmingham Poetry Review. Bliman's writing has received several accolades, including the University Research Council Fellowship from the University of Cincinnati, the Intro Journals Award in poetry from the Association of Writers & Writing Programs, and the National Chapbook Fellowship from the Poetry Society of America. He published a chapbook titled 'Travel Leisure' in spring 2013. Eric grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
