Biography

Eric Budish is the Paul G. McDermott Professor of Economics Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Co-Director at the National Bureau of Economic Research's Kent Clark Center for Global Markets. Recently, his work has addressed the use of market design to accelerate global vaccination during the Covid-19 crisis. His research extends to patent design in cancer research and how flawed innovation incentives can lead to underinvestment in long-term cancer prevention.
