Biography

I am a philosopher of science specializing in conceptual and epistemological issues arising in biological studies. My research ranges across interdisciplinary understanding of meaning, consequences of historical contingency, evolution, ecology, and inference models in natural systems, including immunology and geomorphology. I am developing new perspectives for understanding and building resilient social-ecological systems. I am also happy to supervise students working in philosophy of science, philosophy of biology, and environmental philosophy.
