Biography

Eric C. Huang is a Professor and Director of the Cytopathology Service at the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Washington. His clinical research focuses on cytopathology, gynecologic pathology, and thyroid pathology. He is an active member of professional societies and frequently invited to speak at national and international conferences. Dr. Huang serves on multiple national committees, including the Cytopathology Committee and the Enduring Guidelines Committee of the College of American Pathologists, where he contributes to updating cervical management guidelines. His extensive training includes fellowships in Cytopathology and Women’s Perinatal Pathology, as well as residency in Anatomic Clinical Pathology, all from Brigham Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School. He holds an MD from Albany Medical College and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
