Dr. Eric Knight

Biography

Eric Knight is a world-leading researcher in the field of organizational theory and strategic management. He has published extensively in top-tier journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Academy Management Review, Organization Studies, and Human Relations. He was previously the Executive Dean of Macquarie Business School and has held various positions that include Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research - Enterprise & Engagement at the University of Sydney and Honorary Professor of Strategic Management at the University of Sydney. A Fulbright Senior Scholar and a Rhodes Scholar, Eric completed his doctorate at the University of Oxford. He has served on multiple boards including MQ Health and the Sydney Grammar School, and has a proven track record in securing research grants from the Australian Research Council in collaboration with industry partners. He focuses inherently on the intersection of strategy and engineering, having developed award-winning courses that provide free online access to learning materials. His contributions to academia include fostering strategic operational leadership and enhancing the academic performance of business schools, ultimately leading to transformative experiences for students.
