Biography

Eric Laber is a James B. Duke Distinguished Professor in the Department of Statistical Science at Duke University. His research focuses on the application of statistical reinforcement learning to inform decision-making in complex and dynamic environments. In addition to his primary role, he holds multiple appointments as a Professor in the Department of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics and as a Research Professor in Global Health. He has a robust background in statistical methodologies, which he leverages to enhance patient-centered outcomes and treatment efficacy in various fields of health science. Eric obtained his Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
