Biography

Eric Paquet is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa and a Senior Research Officer at the National Research Council Canada in their Vaccines Program. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Vision and Optical Information Processing from Laval University in Quebec City, Canada. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Paquet worked in optical information processing at the University of Valencia in Spain, pursued research in superresolution laser microscopy at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and was involved in developing 3D handheld scanners at Tricorder plc in London, England. He has joined the National Research Council, where he conducts cutting-edge research in areas including computer vision, pattern recognition, and computational intelligence, with a focus on content-based indexing and retrieval of images and objects. His research is applied in various fields, including the visualization of artifacts and architectural complexes, 3D anthropometry, and structural proteomics. Currently, his work also advances the field of computational vaccinology through innovative applications of computer vision.
