Biography

Eric Seibel is a Research Professor at the University of Washington (UW) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with adjunct appointments in Bioengineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Oral Health Sciences. As the director of the Human Photonics Lab at UW, he has led projects involving ultrathin flexible endoscopes and various optical measuring techniques relevant to medical diagnostics and treatment. His work has received funding from notable organizations, including the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation. Seibel has authored numerous publications and is recognized for his inventions in medical imaging and instrumentation. He has received several awards for his contributions to research and education.
