Biography

Eric Svee is an Associate Professor at Stockholm University. He completed his Master's degree in Interactive Systems Engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in 2007, followed by a PhD focused on consumer preferences in information systems design, which he completed in 2017. Eric was promoted to Associate Professor in 2022. Before returning to academia, he held positions in leading technology companies such as Adobe Systems and AT&T Wireless, where he specialized in information management and design for accessibility for individuals with sensory functional impairments. He has also worked as a research engineer at the Swedish Defence Research Agency and as a researcher at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science (now RISE). Eric's research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including user context situatedness, Values Sensitive Design (VSD), user-assistive technologies, Science, Technology, Society (STS), data visualization, time geography, consumer values, enterprise modeling, enterprise architecture, requirements engineering, and business-IT alignment. His current research focuses on integrating values into the design of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) artifacts and system requirements.
