Biography

Eric Umuhoza is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Carnegie Mellon University Africa. Before joining CMU-Africa, Umuhoza held various academic positions in European universities, including a postdoctoral researcher and teaching assistant at the Department of Electronics, Informatics Bioengineering at the Polytechnic University of Milan in Italy. He also served as a senior postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Information Engineering, Computer Science Mathematics at the University L’Aquila in Italy, and as a visiting scholar at École des Mines de Nantes in France. His research interests encompass model-driven software engineering, user interaction design, and big data management in the Internet of Things. Eric holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology and a Master of Science in Engineering of Computing Systems, both from the Polytechnic University of Milan.
