Biography

Erik Gnagy is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a B.S.E. in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas, an M.S. in Kinesiology with a specialization in Applied Sports Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and a Ph.D. in Health Education focusing on Behavioral Health from the University of Texas at Austin, earned in 2012. His research interests lie in behavior, sports performance, and decision making in golf. He is known for consulting with professional and amateur golfers to enhance psychological strategies for elite performance. In addition to his teaching focus on sports psychology, he is involved with a small group of elite PGA professionals, all while holding a Ph.D. His expertise and dedication to education and research in the field of kinesiology make him a valuable asset to the academic community.
