Biography

Erik Raymond Johnson is an educator, actor, director, choreographer, and martial artist. Trained in the Meisner technique and Practical Aesthetics, Erik has worked as a professional actor both in front of the camera and on stage, regionally and internationally. He is an accomplished fight choreographer and intimacy choreographer, having choreographed over 100 shows. A lifelong practitioner of martial arts, Erik specializes in movement training, drawing from various methodologies including impulse work, Lecoq, Laban, and mindfulness techniques. He is a certified martial arts instructor, holds certification in stage combat from the Society of American Fight Directors, and is a certified mental health aid through the National Coalition of Mental Health Workers. Additionally, he is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association, the Society of American Fight Directors, and the Association of Theatre Movement Educators.
