Biography

Erik Lin-Greenberg is an Associate Professor and Co-Director of the MIT Wargaming Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research examines how emerging military technologies affect conflict dynamics and the regulation of the use of force. Lin-Greenberg's book project studies the impact of remote warfighting technologies, such as drones, on crisis escalation. Lin-Greenberg was awarded the 2020 Merze Tate Award by the American Political Science Association, acknowledging his significant contributions to the field. He completed his Ph.D. in Political Science at Columbia University and holds an M.S. and B.S. in Political Science from MIT. Prior to entering academia, he served as an active-duty officer in the United States Air Force, and he continues to serve as a member of the Air Force Reserve.
