Dr. Erik Noren

Biography

Dr. Noren provides compassionate, patient-centered surgical care with a focus on delivering the highest quality outcomes for patients undergoing colorectal surgery. He is a board-certified, fellowship-trained colorectal surgeon who specializes in the minimally invasive treatment of diseases affecting the colon and rectum. His clinical interests include advanced endoscopy for the treatment of colorectal cancer, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and pilonidal and anorectal disorders. Dr. Noren's research primarily focuses on improving the quality of care for patients undergoing colorectal surgery, specifically in areas such as reducing opioid medication usage and preventing surgical site infections. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and contributed to textbooks aimed at educating and training medical students and future surgeons. Dr. Noren holds a B.S. in Biology and Human Physiology from the University of Oregon, an M.D. from Albany Medical College, and an M.S. in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University. He completed his general surgery residency and colorectal surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California.
