Biography

Professor Erik Peek specializes in Financial Reporting and Valuation at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. His research interests include financial analysis, accounting valuation, earnings forecasting, and international financial accounting. Throughout his career, he has published articles in major academic journals such as Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, Journal of International Accounting Research, and the European Accounting Review. He is also a co-author of the textbook 'Business Analysis Valuation: IFRS Edition'. Prior to his role at RSM, he served as an associate professor at Maastricht University in the Netherlands and held a visiting associate professorship at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He earned his doctorate from VU University Amsterdam in 2001 and became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder in 2002. Additionally, he has been involved with the Limperg Instituut and has coordinated PhD education for the Stichting Financial Management Accounting.
