Biography

Erik Petry is a research associate and deputy director at the Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Basel, focusing on Jewish history and culture in the 19th and 20th centuries. His main research areas include the history of Jews in Germany and Switzerland during the early modern period, Zionism, anti-Semitism history, Middle Eastern history, oral history, and memory studies.
