Erika Benavides is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. As a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, Dr. Benavides has published numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters on the multidisciplinary aspects of diagnostic imaging. Her research interests include the integration of emerging technologies to evaluate tissue structure and properties, and she has served as a co-investigator on NIH-funded grants for the past five years. Her clinical practice is dedicated to head and neck 2D and 3D imaging interpretation.
