Biography

Erika Simpson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Western University, specializing in International Relations. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. Simpson is a prominent figure in her field, having served as the President of the Canadian Peace Research Association (CPRA). Her research interests include international security and foreign defense policy, with a focus on issues such as NATO, nuclear proliferation, and peacekeeping. She is a widely published author, contributing to both books and reputable journals including 'Peace Review' and the 'International Journal'. Simpson is also a national columnist for Postmedia Network, where she discusses Canadian foreign policy and defense. She has been actively involved in various academic roles, serving as an associate editor for the journal 'Peace Review' and as a Senior Advisor at the Rideau Institute.
