Biography

Erin Brennan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Queen's University and serves as the Program Director for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Emergency Medicine residency program. A graduate of Queen's Emergency Medicine program, she has also completed her Master's in Medical Education at the University of Dundee, where her studies focused on feedback and debriefing in simulation-based education. Her research interests encompass a variety of topics including CPR education, simulation-based education, the role of gender in clinical practice, the development of pregnancy and parental leave policies, coaching in the emergency department, and the implementation of health advocacy curricula. Outside of her professional life, Erin enjoys spending time with her family, particularly running after her boys at home.
