Dr. Erin Dahlke enthusiastically joined the Division of Dermatology at Queen's University in 2017, focusing on Mohs micrographic surgery. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from Dalhousie University, and her medical training was completed at Western University, followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Toronto (FRCPC). She has also completed a fellowship in skin oncology and Mohs micrographic surgery (FACMS) as well as a Master’s Degree (MScCH) in Health Practitioner Teacher Education from the University of Toronto. Dr. Dahlke is the physician lead for four academic hospital-based Mohs micrographic surgery units across Ontario, including Hotel Dieu Hospital, Queen's, St. Joseph’s Health Centre, and Unity Health Network. Additionally, she holds cross appointments in the Division of Dermatology at Women's College Hospital and the University Health Network, as well as in Laboratory Medicine at St. Michael's Hospital. Dr. Dahlke is dedicated to medical education, serving as the Undergraduate Director of Dermatology Education at the University of Toronto Medical School and is a recipient of a national clinical teaching award from the Canadian Dermatology Association. Her research interests encompass skin cancer treatment, medical education, quality improvement related to patient experiences, and equity and diversity in dermatology. Her clinical focus aims to provide excellent aesthetic outcomes post-tumor extirpation through facial reconstruction in Mohs micrographic surgery.
