Biography

Erin Leiman, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine. She is the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education and Medical Director of the Physician Assistant Residency Program. Dr. Leiman has a robust involvement in undergraduate academic pursuits and serves as the Assistant Director for the Duke Interprofessional Education Care Center and medical director of the Interprofessional Education Clinic. Having completed her medical degree at Vanderbilt University, she pursued her residency in Emergency Medicine at the Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she also served as chief resident. Her research interests are closely tied to interprofessional education and clinical trials innovation.
