Biography

Erin K. Moodie earned her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and specializes in ancient comedy and satire. She has published articles on Aristophanes, Plautus, Terence, and Juvenal. Moodie is the author of 'Plautus’ Poenulus: Student Commentary,' published by the University of Michigan Press in 2015, which won the 2018 Ladislaus L. Bolchazy Pedagogy Book Award from the Classical Association of the Middle West and South. Currently, she is revising a book on subversive metatheater in ancient Greek and Roman comedy for publication with the University of Michigan Press. Her research interests focus primarily on Greek and Latin literature, with a particular emphasis on comedy and satire.
