Dr. Erin Weinberg

Biography

Erin Weinberg is a passionate scholar of Shakespeare and a dedicated instructor at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Arts. She is a committed member of the University of Manitoba Faculty Association (UMFA) and has a demonstrated interest in literature and critical analysis. Her research interests focus on various themes, including the works of Jane Austen, food literature, and the psychological aspects of cults and coercive control. She has contributed to her field through interviews and discussions, exemplified by her unique approach of using Taylor Swift's albums to illustrate grammatical rules, which garnered notable attention. Erin's academic journey includes a Doctorate in English Language and Literature from Queen's University, a Master's with Merit in Shakespeare from Royal Holloway, University of London, and an Honours Bachelor in English Language and Literature, also from Queen's University. Through her involvement in research clusters such as the Food Matters Research Cluster and her outreach activities with initiatives like Shakespeare in the Ruins, Erin continues to advance her scholarly pursuits and engage with the broader community in meaningful ways.
