Biography

Ermo Daniels, a dedicated expert in education and research innovation funding, has held significant positions in management and advisory roles, focusing particularly on funding, education, and knowledge transfer policy. His career spans regional, national, and European/international levels, where he has successfully acquired and managed large-scale collaborative projects for institutions. One of his major achievements includes the coordination of the internal reorganization for Maastricht University, leading to the establishment of the Contract Research Center. He possesses expertise in acquiring financial resources, proposal preparation, public-private partnerships, and strategic policy development. Over the years, he has trained bachelor, master, and PhD students, imparting skills such as writing successful proposals, pitching, patenting, and entrepreneurship. His previous roles include serving as the Managing/Deputy Director at the Aachen-Maastricht Institute Biobased Materials (AMIBM), overseeing day-to-day management, personnel finance, and funding education acquisition policies. Throughout his tenure at Maastricht University, he has supported the implementation of strategic policies related to research funding and knowledge transfer.
