Biography

Ernest Ampadu joined KTH Royal Institute of Technology in January 2021 as an Associate Professor in Mathematics Education, Department of Learning, School of Industrial Engineering and Management. Before his appointment at KTH, he served as a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department at the University of Ghana. He has also worked as an Assistant Professor in Mathematics at Richmond International University London and as a mathematics lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University. Ernest holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, a Research Master’s Degree in International Comparative Education from Stockholm University, Sweden, a Master of Arts in Adult Learning and Global Change from Linköping University, Sweden, and a PhD in Education (Mathematics) from Anglia Ruskin University, United Kingdom. His research interests primarily focus on Mathematics Education, including curriculum development, assessment, pedagogy, and teacher development. He possesses over 20 years of experience as a teacher educator and researcher, with extensive skills in conducting both quantitative and qualitative research, including the use of statistical analysis tools like SPSS and STATS DIRECT. Ernest has participated in various international research projects and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to book chapters.
