Biography

Errol Osecki, CPA-CA, teaches accounting at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. He holds degrees in fine arts and commerce from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Ph.D. from Schulich School of Business, York University. Before entering academia, Osecki had a longstanding career as a public accountant, focusing on Indigenous Nations, not-for-profit organizations, and small government clients. His research interests include the investigation of modern accounting phenomena, particularly how new technologies are changing accounting practices, the impact of new national leadership on tax compliance rates, and how emotions influence accountants' decision-making processes regarding financial information. His research has been presented at conferences across Canada and Europe.
