Dr. Ershad Gholamrezaie

Biography

Ershad Gholamrezaie works as a Staff Scientist at Umeå University, where he serves as the Node Coordinator for the Swedigarch project. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mining and Mineral Exploration Engineering, a Master’s degree in Physics-Geophysics, and a PhD in Geology with a specialization in Basin Modelling. After completing his doctoral studies, Gholamrezaie pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in Informatics Information Systems, focusing on the value of artificial intelligence within society and enterprises. His research interests emphasize the integration of machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) methodologies to enhance geoscientific insights and improve data processing capabilities. Furthermore, he explores long-term human-environment interactions through data-centric approaches to understand dynamics over time. Gholamrezaie is actively involved in various research projects, including participation in the Cost Action CA23116, which analyzes past building foresight, and serves on the steering committee for a national research data infrastructure in dendrochronology.
