Dr. Esben Trabjerg

Biography

Esben Trabjerg is an Assistant Professor at the University of Copenhagen, specializing in the Protein Analysis Group. His research primarily focuses on the development of structural mass spectrometry methods, particularly hydrogen-deuterium exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS) and cross-linking mass spectrometry (XL-MS). His investigations delve into the in-solution conformational dynamics of protein systems, with a central interest in the interactions between peptide-antigen loaded major histocompatibility complex and T-cell receptors, which are crucial elements of the human immune system. Trabjerg aims to elucidate the higher-order structures of proteins, utilizing techniques like LC-MS/MS for the identification of protein-protein interaction sites, and conducting epitope mapping for antibodies. He is actively involved in collaborations aimed at enhancing the fields of biopharmaceuticals and therapeutic proteins.
