Dr. Esmeralda Morales

Biography

Esmeralda Morales, MD, is a Board-Certified Pediatric Pulmonologist who earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her subspecialty training in Pediatric Pulmonology at the University of Arizona/Arizona Respiratory Center, gaining recognition for her excellence in asthma care research. Dr. Morales has practiced in the southwestern United States for seven years and served as Interim Chief of the Pediatric Pulmonary Division at the University of New Mexico, where she was also a former Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center and co-chair of the New Mexico Council on Asthma. For the past seven years, she has been a member of the Pediatric Pulmonary Division at Stanford University School of Medicine, where she leads clinical efforts to manage asthma. Her main areas of interest include childhood asthma, aerodigestive disorders in children, and respiratory disorders, particularly in patients with complex healthcare needs from historically marginalized populations.
