Biography

Ethan Molitch-Hou, MD MPH SFHM, is an academic hospitalist specializing in the care of hospitalized patients. He earned his MD and MPH from Northwestern University and completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Chicago. Previously, he worked as a primary care physician and a community hospitalist before returning to the University of Chicago in January 2020. During the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, he served as the lead hospitalist for the COVID care unit. Molitch-Hou is the director of the Hospital Medicine Sub-Internship rotation and a core faculty member in the Internal Medicine Residency, and he is also the co-medical director of the Care Transitions Clinic. His research interests include clinical shift distribution, documentation assistance tools, and patient equity.
