Professor Dr. Ethan Theuerkauf

Biography

Ethan Theuerkauf is a coastal geomorphologist whose research focuses on coastal landscapes, beaches, barrier islands, and wetlands, examining change over timescales that range from storms to millennia. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, Environment, Spatial Sciences at Michigan State University. Theuerkauf has previously held appointments at the Prairie Research Institute of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and both a Master of Science and a Doctorate in Marine Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
