Biography

Eugene Shargorodsky completed his Mathematics degree at Tbilisi State University in Georgia from 1983 to 1988. He then pursued a PhD at the Razmadze Mathematical Institute of the Georgian Academy of Sciences under the supervision of Roland Duduchava, obtaining his degree in 1990. After completing his doctorate, he served as a Senior Research Fellow at Tbilisi State University from 1990 until 1996. In 1996, he joined King's College London for postdoctoral research and later held a Lectureship at the University of Sussex in 1998. Returning to King’s College in 2003, he was promoted to Professor in 2009. His research interests lie in Analysis, specifically Partial Differential Equations, Spectral Theory, Functional Analysis, Complex Variables, Microlocal Analysis, and Global Analysis, with applications to Fluid Dynamics and Elasticity Theory.
