Biography

Eunsuk Kang is an Associate Professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s Institute of Software Research. His research focuses on designing software systems that are safe, secure, and reliable, especially through the use of rigorous modeling and analysis techniques to detect and address potential flaws in the early stages of development. His interests encompass software design, assurance, modeling, verification, safety, security, and cyber-physical systems. Before joining Carnegie Mellon, Kang worked for a year on connected vehicles at Toyota ITC and served as a postdoctoral scholar in the NSF ExCAPE program. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he studied software engineering.
